Retained to provide exhibit experience mapping, audience engagement and creative strategy work for this design proposal. The brief was to create a visitor experience that told the story of the Mission Operations Control Room, the heart of operations behind the iconic imagery and achievements of the space exploration missions. Visual imagery and artwork included overlays of the iconic imagery of the moon and the earth from afar, with the action shots of the people on the ground, reinforcing the relationship between the two groups. Challenged to provide a design proposal that did not structurally alter this historic site, proposal utilized the existing viewing area window as a projection surface and used projection mapping and theatrical lighting within the MOCR itself to tell the story of the site. Our proposal also included a consideration of the audience personae and overall visitor experience at the Johnson Space Center. Project planning and delivery presentation pages demonstrate some initial thoughts on infographic style and data presentation.
